Ch'an Teachings

Re: Ch'an Teachings
Thank you for the link! This is very easy and pleasant reading. This is a quote from the text on that site:
“When you become enlightened to the Sudden Teaching, you do not grasp onto the cultivation of external things. When your own mind constantly gives rise to right views, afflictions and defilement can never stain you. That is what is meant by seeing your own nature.”

Found this recently. A beautiful and simple treatise on chan by one of its greatest modern masters.

The whole shobogenzo of Dogen is available here as a pdf file or you can browse it in parts. http://www.shastaabbey.org/shobogenzo1.htm It's alltogether 1143 pages so be prepared for some serious reading!

But Dogen is Zen, and not Ch'an.
