Lojong is a form of meditative practice which is pretty common throughout the Tibetan Buddhist lineages, particularly the Gelugpas. This is probably because the origins in Tibet is traced to Lama Atisha, famous for being the Lamrim originator.
Essentially this practice is used to train the mind to develop compassion and joy when faced with negativity and negative emotions.
