Daily prayer and practice. Empty Daily prayer and practice.

Post by muni Sun Feb 01, 2009 7:20 am

This poem was composed by master Langri Thang-pa in the eleventh century. It is daily prayer as well. flower

Loving all sentient beings forever, as dearly as if one has found a great treasure chest.

Respecting and regarding everyone so highly in all situations when you are amongst them.

Watching and purifying one's own mind in every conduct of life, when you see yourself caught in egocentric mind and harmful thoughts to others.

Offering special care and love to those who are suffering greatly and also to those who are engaged in causing suffering to others, as if you have found some great treasures.

Taking loss upon one's self and offering victory to others when others are mean and abusive to you due to their jealous heart and mind. I love you

Regarding those people and family members who are so ungrateful even if you have benefied them greatly over the years as your supreme teachers to improve your patience and tolerance.

In essence, quietly and without any boastfulness, offering all the benefits and happiness to others and taking all the problems and suffering of others upon one's self.

Engaging into these altruistic practices without ego, self-interest, and expectations, and freeing one's self from the bondage of ignorance through realizing the illusory-like nature of life, things, and events. sunny

Prayer today possess only few words.

Happiness "and" genuine love is the parcel which is coming right from my heart. May this seed become powerful to undo suffer in the world. May all have peace in mind. May all have comfort in mind. May all be really happy. Bowing for all living beings. Bow

I got a request for a prayer for a girl called Halina. I repeat the request here.
People suffer so hard due to thinking they are separated from nature, living on own helpless power; which makes them so fragil and full of sadness, fears and other suffer.
My prayer is including all who suffers due to whatever sickness; may they be freed from the cycle which contients sickness as painful experienced flaw. _/\_ https://www.youtube.com:80/watch?v=g263N4XzoZo

Nice posts. This thread is just reminding me that my "daily" practice is still a complete hodgepodge. Need to get some habits going that will stick ...

A simple prayer to offer before a meal, to remain in awareness!

I offer this to the Teacher
Higher than any other,

I offer this to
the Dharma
Higher than any other,

I offer this to
the Sangha
Higher than any other,

I offer this to the abodes of refuge,
The Three Jewels, rare and supreme.

May each and everyone, who want to get precious teaching get that teaching.

May all who see devotion for what it really is; soon penetrate the view of interdependent-dependent arisen and grasping concepts cannot harm anymore as form=emptiness- emptiness=form is seen with mind. So suffer will not be.

Compassion. _/\_ This is my wish in devotion for the teaching.

Let your love flow outward through the
universe,
To its height, its depth, its broad extent,
A limitless love, without hatred or enmity.
Then as you stand or walk,
Sit or lie down,
As long as you are awake,
Strive for this with a one-pointed mind;
Your life will bring heaven to earth.

Beautiful, Drolma.
Along with merit dedication, this prayer/thought is a great way to begin meditations and practices.
Thanks for another good reminder in the form of this simple prayer!
