All paths lead Where ???
All paths do not lead to the top of the mountain as the new age cliche
would have it. Depending on the philosophical roots of the tradition
and its inclusivity or lack thereof, some paths are almost certain to
lead to a portion of humanity (those seen as not of our god or not
saved) being ostracized, discriminated against, segregated or even
slaughtered.
I find the notion of paths a little disturbing anyway,
i have confidence that the truth is right where i am now, to paraphrase
dogen, if it isnt right here, right now, where do i go to get it? Every
step i might take in search of it leads me away from the very thing im
looking for. So even the "good" paths are at best leading nowhere
fruitful. If you are on a path, you are going in the wrong direction.

Hi M0rl0ck,
I tend to agree.
It's good to be respectful of faiths and traditions. Of course as Buddhists we don't do much proselytizing. But I can't understand how anyone could say it's all the same thing.

Not all paths lead to the same place generally most religions lead to the higher realms of samsara, the only one ive come across that traverses such boundarys is buddhism, it breaks the cycle.

Yes Caz, the enslaving clinging circle.
For me "the path" is now more a good cleaned glass door on which I knock my head regullarly. Bam!
