Please contribute to this thread if you see fit
I wonder if anyone here, particularly Sherab, would like to respond in this thread:
Tulpas
I appreciate anyone's in put, as I'm sort of at a loss about what to say (or not say). Thanks!

Tashi delek D,
Sprul pa, basically is a Tulku, an nirmitaka, a relative emanation.
Thanks for the link, often these terms become mixed with other meanings that lend to a "sinister" interpretation and continued lack of knowing. Same type of outside looking in, that call Tibetan tradition "Lamaism"
Really has nothing to do with our practice.

An after thought,
Perhaps we could discuss the Tulku tradition, maybe some transparency of it would be of some benefit?

Hi Sherab,
I understand what you're saying. But I'm not clear if it's okay to address the relationship between mind and provocations. Any more input you'd like to give?
Thanks muchly,
ND

Going to chew that one over. Danger one could establish all manners of fantasies and ideas.
Re: Please contribute to this thread if you see fit
Provocations do exist though. A simple example, recently for about 3 weeks in a quiet place, every night at 3 30am, wake up from disturbed dream. So in ordinary way, feel agitated and a little afraid, some nervousness alone in quiet place. Fear in mind etc.
But then one night, understand that that is a provocation, the energy is understood, because time go back one hour, so now wake up at 2.30 am from dream not 3.30am , not related to that time in an outer ordinary way, but more inner and secret way. Then I begin to know about that and then later try to discover the root of that, then apply correct practice, discover, and then no more provocation. Sleep happy once again.
LOL

:moon: I wish everyone is happely sleeping in America now. Goodnight!
What people don't understand is mystical. So that is easy. They say: I, I don't believe in those things. And that is yet a belief.
Once I got this image of how people see their reality: all around us we give names, labels to survive and find our way in constantely changing appearances world. Like a captain need a map to find his way on the see. But we forget that the map is only a conceptual navigation system. As the captain will not go to seek his ship on the map.
And so we see: The inner conceptualization map what can be proved on paper is reality. And experience is reaching the border of mystical. Beyond own experience is completely mystical. And so is reincarnation of Tulkus.
Broad minded and humbly thinking mind will not simple reject. Tulkus based on political choice are no Tulkus. The qualities are to be find. Even in more than one "person".

That 's why there are growing pear blossoms on the apple tree this year.
Is there because we talk about reincarnation and not rebirth an any"one", an any"thing"?

I can't understand what this Venerable is saying. But there is something about his appearance and mannerisms that is very beautiful. It's difficult to explain.

You want I give you the true meaning of meditation? First what we can do is settle the mind. Slowly slowly, step by step and then arrive by the true meaning of meditation. You already have done meditation?
No.
Alright. Thoughts are coming and going; just leave it so, don't try to stop it. They wouldn't bother you.
When you come to America? It will be 2010. I am looking forward.
Me too.

Small detail is missing: Thoughts are coming and going; don't try to stop it "or go with it", just leave it so.
